Stowe and Toes...

Yesterday Russ and I spent the day shopping with Jess and Justin in dowtown Burlington. There are so many amazing shops, it is simply a shopping heaven, if you will. I could spend a week happily browsing through every shop. I bought a fabulous new pair of jeans to add to my addiction, I mean collection ; ). Jess showed me an engagement ring she has picked out (when we were shopping alone) and had me try on rings also...(i hate her) I found a ring that I swear said "Jess" in the face of the 2.5 emerald cut diamond. Ahhh diamonds...truly a girls' best friend. The lady said it looked fabulous on me...well of course it did, it was 19k..how could a ring worth that much not be anything but pure heaven on my hand. Oh, I digress. After a pleasant day of shopping with the boys...somehow we convinced them to get pedicures with us! How we did it, is a mystery even to us. Anyhoo, here are the amusing pictures. I will only show a far away shot of Justin so that he is not recognizable...he does not like pictures and I can imagine being caught on film mid-pedicure might give him a heart attack. I was having a nail nightmare so I could not participate in the pedicure fun b/c I was so in need of a manicure.

Justin, Jess and Russ sitting together.

Jess displaying the magazine that was next to her when she sat down: Modern Bride! We got such a good chuckle out of that...I can't beleive the boys didn't run barefoot, screaming from the salon....

Today, Russ and I went skiing in Stowe. It was very challenging for us. The mountain got 20 inches of snow last night so the runs were full of fresh powdery mogels. There were many blue runs and we did a few of them. I am normally a comfortable green skiier, so the blues exhausted me and threw me flailing on my ass a few times..but nonetheless I strengthened my abilities a bit I hope. Russ got some good jumps in and we had a good time together.
Here's a picture of our packed truck

Russ and I in the lodge after skiing.

New pants I bought to wear under my ski pants: electric blue. I joked that I would not get hit by a car when walking back to the truck and Russ added that if I did, I would be easily found....

And one final picture before driving back to Burlington

On tap for tomorrow: more skiing/snowboarding at Stowe, and a tour of the Ben & Jerry's factory!!! We passed it on our way to the mountain today. I'm SO excited. I'm a big fan of their work!
